We decided to go to Le Grenier à Pain to try a new place for breakfast. It turned out to be an amazing and delicious experience.
This franchise is an impressive french bakery that won the “Grand Prix de la Baguette de Tradition Francaise de la Ville De Paris” twice already! So YES! you can definitely expect love at first bite!
It is located on the main street of Gemmayze, where “Chili’s” used to be, so it’s highly unlikely you miss it if you are passing through there. The place is very attractive and the ambiance is welcoming, the front of the bakery is mostly made of glass and framed with wood, once you walk in you can find a display of the different kinds of baguettes and you will be overwhelmed with the aromas of fresh bread.
We chose the croissant fromage, le franchie omelette and le parisien sandwich.
The croissant is buttery without being greasy with a soft crust on the outside and tender on the inside, it was one of the best we’ve had.
The omelette was delicious along with the side salad that comes with it, the ingredients were fresh and the ham was of good quality, big thumbs up!
Le parisien sandwich was huge, it is served cut in half and with a side salad as well. We loved the freshness of their ingredients and excellent bread. The amazing quality was clearly obvious in everything we were served.
For drinks we had the honey moon latte (Espresso, milk, honey and vanilla essence) and a caramel Frappuccino (milk, caramel sauce and original mocafe powder) which were both delightful.
As a cherry on top we were offered 2 complimentary desserts, a chocolate eclair and a sort of brownie topped with a ball of chocolate filled with chocolate mousse & salted caramel!
Sadly we were too full to finish our dessert but they were delicious, especially the chocolate eclair, it’s the best we’ve had so far.
We cannot wait to go back and try more of their menu items and pastries, definitely our new favorite breakfast destination!
